The association is made with a specific boat, sharing its use with other members who share the same love for the sea. Everyone's monthly time does not exceed the sailboat's availability, which is the same as saying that each member has guaranteed use, every month.

Reservations are made on a web application accessible from a mobile phone or computer, at fixed times, with the day divided into 3 periods: Morning (9am-1pm), Afternoon (2pm-6pm) and Night (7pm-8pm) . It is possible to book continuous periods, up to the maximum of your quota.

All this, through a monthly fee that includes all previous services, insurance, fees and maintenance.

Being a member of Nautic Squad gives you the same pleasure as having a boat to go on a quick sunset cruise, a Friday cruise, a weekend rocked by the waves or even a whole week of adventure or relaxation.

BECOME A MEMBER
Nautic Squad is a sailing club for skippers that allow our members to have fun with friends, with world-class sailboats and professional maintenance. Pay a member's monthly fee, book your time online, use the boat to sail with your family and friends, and then just leave everything operational for the next member. As a member, you will have access to the marina and a sailboat as if you were the owner of the boat. The monthly fee includes marina fees, insurance, maintenance, cleaning, management, and all port taxes and fees. Just book the boat online and complete the check-in before departure. At Nautic Squad, you can enjoy an unbelievable sailing experience for a fraction of the cost and time you would spend maintaining a sailboat.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
When you become a member you select a specific boat to sail based on size, price and availability. You will always use the same boat as if it were yours. Each boat has a limited number of members (usually 8) who distribute the available time among them throughout each month. Simply use our online app's calendar to select the times you want to sail and the boat will be ready for you as soon as you arrive at the dock.

When boarding, you should inspect the boat to make sure everything is operational and record this information in the online check-in application. Then just enjoy and return in time to prepare the boat for the next member.
TYPES OF ASSOCIATION
To be a member of Nautic Squad you must choose which type of association is the best fit for you, with the following alternatives:
Weekday
6 sailing tours per month during the week: sailors love it because it offers a very affordable and longer sailing option. You can make departures during the month and you can even reserve some time to organize a cruise for a few days.

Members can also use free periods for free without deducting from their monthly availability. Your reservation is free if booked less than 24 hours before departure. You will be able to see the available free periods in the application (within your member type).
Weekend
3 sailing tours per month during the weekend. This option is perfect for the sailor who doesn't have much time to sail. This level is a good way for those who want to start sailing, without knowing how much time they have to dedicate and can only do it on weekends.

Members can also use free periods for free without deducting from their monthly availability. Your reservation is free if booked less than 24 hours before departure. You will be able to see the available free periods in the application (within your member type).
Full week
9 sailing tours per month. This level provides each member with nine guaranteed reservations per month, 6 during the week and 3 at the weekend. With this level of use, you can book the sailboat for an entire week, which during the summer could represent your dream vacation in the Algarve in a marina or sailing from port to port.

Members can book sailing times as individual or consecutive sailings up to a full week.

Team - Navigate as a team
Sailing is more pleasant as a team and having someone to help with manoeuvres is very useful, being mandatory to always have a crew member on board to help with manoeuvres.

If you prefer, we have the “TEAM” mode in which you share any of these membership levels with a friend, both of whom can be skippers and go out together or separately. This makes browsing more pleasant and allows for an even lower cost.
FAQ
How does the Nautic Squad membership work?
Nautic Squad is like a gym, but on the water and where you can invite family and friends. Pay a monthly fee, use the equipment, clean it when you're done and leave, without all the ownership, maintenance and administrative responsibilities. Nautic Squad provides an online scheduling system and an electronic check-in and check-out system that makes it easy to schedule your sailing time and also ensures that the boat is always clean and ready to go. This method is perfect for anyone wanting a smarter, more realistic way of navigating a new boat.
How many members use the boat?
Due to our different membership levels, our boats have a variable number of members. To ensure availability and exclusivity, the club limits the number of members, the usual 8 per vessel.
How does the association cost?
It depends on the size of the boat and the type of association but we would say much less than you might think.
Can I try the sailboat?
Sure! Just call to schedule a visit.
What is the duration of the commitment?
Contracts last for 12 months
Are there maintenance fees not included?
No, but if you lose equipment or damage the boat, you will have to pay for the replacement or repair up to the insurance deductible. If you need extra services, ask for the cost.
Can 2 people share the same boat?
Yes, we have a team membership model with a friend. At all times, one of the partners must be on board and cannot lend the boat to third parties.
How long is an exit period?
Every day is divided into three periods: 9 am to 1 pm, 2 pm to 6 pm and from 7 pm to 8 am the following morning. You can schedule one period at a time or combine several for a multi-day trip.
Can I spend the night on the boat?
Yes, as long as you book the night period from 7 pm to 8 am the following day.
Who is responsible for cleaning the boat?
At the end of each use, it is the member's obligation to clean the sailboat and remove the rubbish so that it is available for the next use. At the beginning of an outing, you must CHECK-IN the application, indicating the state in which you found the vessel and CHECK-OUT when finished, indicating the events and possible maintenance needs. CHECK-IN helps hold individual members accountable by reporting the condition of the boat as they board and disembark.
How do you deal with irresponsible members?
The membership agreement provides for the exclusion of members who abuse Nautic Squad's policies and harm other members. The priority is the respect of the partners among themselves and ensuring the availability of vessels for the following partners. We cherish a cordial and collaborative environment among everyone.
What are the requirements to be a member of Nautic Squad?
All members must have a "Patrão Local" sailing license and a sailing course or experience equivalent to an RYA DAY SKIPPER.
Can I use it beyond my quota?
Sure! Each member is entitled to unlimited use as long as the vessel is available. You can book 24 hours in advance at no extra cost. This sounds too good to be true! Nautic Squad invested a lot of time, effort and technology in creating a program that opens the world of sailing to many people who, even enjoying it, had no opportunity to develop their experience. Rui Alexandre, engineer and entrepreneur, and Carlos Dias, computer engineer, saw sailing as an opportunity to combine two passions: sailing with friends and business.
